Hi there,

I am emailing you all, because some of you, who were so wonderful as to follow my blog last month, expressed an interest in learning more about sponsoring a girl at Ombogo Academy for Girls, in Kenya. That is the school I described in the blog last month (ombogo-girls-academy/) and where Richard and I sponsored Betty for her years in high school.

Tim Costello, who originally set up the program, (and is now the Service Learning Director at Western Washington University) is back in Bellingham, and he has all the updated information on what it takes to sponsor a girl. For those of you who live in Bellingham, Tim is willing and available to meet with us one evening during the week of September 16th.

I hope this expanse of time has not dimmed your interest in exploring this possibility; if you want to learn more, please let me know what that week looks like for you. I would be happy to host something at my house, and I am available any evening that week.

For those of you who are interested, but not living in Bellingham, I can contact you personally with the info from our meeting, if you let me know of your interest, either here or by personal email.

Thanks again, Caryn
